Agrisem Upgrades Front Hopper Range with Multi-Metering Architecture for Simultaneous Seed and Fertiliser Application

French agricultural machinery manufacturer Agrisem has significantly renewed its front hopper range, introducing new pressurised and compartmentalised configurations designed to increase flexibility across seeding and fertilisation operations. The updated portfolio includes 1,800-, 2,500- and 2,600-litre models that can be equipped with two or three independent metering units, allowing multiple products to be handled simultaneously. Adjustable internal flaps can direct individual product flows toward different distribution heads, enabling combinations including seed, fertiliser and microgranules, as well as companion cropping, separated seed and fertiliser placement and half-width section control.

Each metering unit is independently controlled through ISOBUS, supporting variable-rate application within individual fields as well as automatic GPS-based section control. Agrisem has also introduced the SeedXConnect app to simplify calibration and help operators select the appropriate metering rollers according to the material being applied. The broader hopper portfolio retains non-pressurised 1,500-, 1,600- and 2,200-litre models, while the new pressurised machines extend Agrisem’s ability to configure the front hopper around increasingly complex multi-product applications. Agrisem’s existing DSF architecture already combines stainless-steel volumetric metering, ISOBUS management and simultaneous handling of different products, with the new generation substantially extending this concept.

Operational flexibility extends beyond metering. Available equipment includes distribution booms from 3 to 12 metres, a steering front pack and removable ballast, while a large access platform, wide-opening hopper cover, storage compartment and full LED lighting are designed to simplify filling and daily operation.

Bottom Line: The important development is not simply greater hopper choice, but Agrisem turning the front hopper into a multi-product application platform. Independent metering and flexible routing mean seed, fertiliser and microgranules can increasingly be managed as separate prescription inputs within the same field pass. This potentially increases utilisation far beyond conventional drilling while reducing the need for separate application operations. The broader strategic direction is clear: front hoppers are evolving from relatively simple seed reservoirs into ISOBUS-controlled precision input-management systems, making them an increasingly important part of integrated seeding and fertilisation architectures.
