Einböck Extends ROTARYSTAR Rotary Hoe Range with New 1.5 m and 7.5 m Models

Austrian agricultural machinery manufacturer Einböck has expanded its ROTARYSTAR rotary hoe range with two additional working widths, introducing the ROTARYSTAR 150 and ROTARYSTAR 750 to address different requirements in mechanical weed control. The 1.5-metre model is primarily designed for vegetable-growing operations, while the 7.5-metre version fills the gap between the existing 6.4- and 9-metre machines. The expansion broadens the range’s suitability for both specialized cultivation and larger-scale field operations, offering farmers additional choices in matching implement capacity to crop systems and available tractor power.

The ROTARYSTAR 750 incorporates five independently movable sections with hydraulic ground-contour compensation, designed to maintain consistent working intensity across uneven terrain. Optional depth-control wheels on the folding wings provide further support for accurate ground following, while the manufacturer’s spring-loaded rotor assemblies can generate down pressure of up to 35 kg. The 7.5-metre model can be operated with tractors from approximately 130 hp. Einböck has also introduced an optional stone deflector across the ROTARYSTAR range, designed to direct stones away from the rotating tools and reduce interruptions when working in difficult or stony soil conditions.

The latest additions reflect the growing importance of equipment versatility and operational consistency in mechanical crop management. The narrower ROTARYSTAR 150 extends the manufacturer’s offering toward specialized vegetable production, while the 750 provides an intermediate working width for farms seeking higher field capacity without moving directly to a 9-metre machine. The stone-deflector option addresses a practical operating constraint rather than introducing a fundamentally new cultivation principle. Together, these developments strengthen Einböck’s ability to serve different farm sizes and cropping systems within an increasingly diversified mechanical weed-control market.

Bottom Line

Einböck’s ROTARYSTAR expansion illustrates how mechanical weed-control equipment is evolving through more specialized working widths and practical improvements in field performance. The combination of a compact 1.5-metre model, a new 7.5-metre configuration and optional stone management equipment reinforces the importance of adaptability, consistent soil contact and operational reliability in modern cultivation machinery.
